Super Visa Eligibility

To qualify for a Super Visa, both the Canadian sponsor and the applicant (parent / grandparent) must meet all of the following criteria.

✅ Sponsor Requirements (Child / Grandchild in Canada)

  • Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
  • Must be at least 18 years old and live in Canada
  • Must meet or exceed the minimum necessary income (LICO)
  • Must sign an invitation letter promising financial support

✅ Applicant Requirements (Parent / Grandparent)

  • Submit the Super Visa application from outside Canada
  • Have the visa printed by a visa office outside Canada
  • Must be admissible to enter Canada
  • Complete an immigration medical exam
  • Provide proof of a Canadian health insurance policy ($100,000+ coverage)

From the Applicant (Parents / Grandparents) — Financial Ties to Home Country
  • Valid passport — front two and last two pages, plus any stamped pages
  • Bank statements — personal (showing INR 6–8 lacs combined)
  • Bank statement — business (if applicable)
  • Business registration / ownership certificate
  • Employment letter (if employed)
  • Income tax returns — last 3 years (personal & business)
  • Fixed deposits, savings, investments — as available
  • Proof of property — agricultural, residential, or commercial
    Must be from a Certified Property Evaluator; CA report not acceptable
  • Marriage certificate
  • Any other documents showing ties to home country
